Frequently Asked Questions

Expert advice on caring for and ordering your English Roses

When is the best time to plant bare root roses?

Bare root roses should be planted between late autumn and early spring, while the plant is still dormant. This allows the root system to establish before the blooming season begins.

How long does it take for my roses to be delivered?

Standard delivery typically takes 3-5 business days. During the bare root season (November to April), orders are dispatched based on optimal planting times for your specific hardiness zone.

Do you offer a guarantee on your roses?

Yes, we offer a 5-year guarantee on all our roses. If your rose fails to grow or dies within five years of purchase, we will provide a free replacement.

How much sunlight do David Austin roses require?

Most of our roses thrive in full sunlight, requiring at least 6 hours of direct sun per day. However, we do offer specific varieties that are bred to perform well in partial shade.

Can I grow these roses in pots or containers?

Absolutely. Many of our English Roses are perfectly suited for large containers. We recommend choosing a pot at least 18 inches deep and using a high-quality loam-based compost.

What is your return policy for live plants?

If you are unhappy with the quality of your roses upon arrival, please contact us within 14 days. We will arrange for a return, replacement, or refund depending on the condition of the plant.
